## SUMMARY
AI Product Designer and UX/UI specialist with 5+ years designing and shipping web products, plus a B.S. in Cognitive Science (AI & HCI, UC Santa Cruz). Currently co-founder and product designer at SermonAI, where I lead end-to-end design for a live AI SaaS — research, IA, high-fidelity UI, and production React / Next.js. Strengths in Figma, design systems, accessibility, AI workflow UX (human-in-the-loop review), and frontend implementation. Previously owned UX and delivery for a multi-role real estate platform and freelance client products.

## CORE COMPETENCIES
- **UX/UI & Product Design**: Wireframing, Prototyping, User Flows, Interaction Design, Design Systems, Usability Testing
- **Front-End Development**: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, JavaScript, HTML/CSS
- **AI Product Experience**: AI workflow UX, Human-in-the-loop review, Prompted / structured outputs, Cognitive-load-aware interfaces
- **Backend Integration**: Supabase, PostgreSQL, Authentication, API Integration, Stripe
- **Research & Testing**: User Research, Heuristic Analysis, Accessibility (WCAG), Iterative validation
- **Tools**: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Webflow, Git, Cursor, OpenAI / Deepgram

## EXPERIENCE
**AI Product Designer & CTO — SermonAI**
January 2026 – Present | Olympia, WA
- Launched and continue to own product design for a production AI SaaS that turns sermons into ministry-ready summaries, discussion guides, devotionals, and exports for paying ministry teams
- Designed multi-step AI workflows with visible pipeline stages and mandatory human review, so teams can understand, edit, and approve outputs before publish
- Shipped the product interface and supporting systems in Next.js, TypeScript, React, Supabase, Deepgram, OpenAI, and Stripe — from research through production release
- Applied HCI principles so AI stays a transparent tool users can control; use Cursor and other AI tools to accelerate delivery while owning architecture and product judgment

**Product Designer & Developer — SWYVVL (Real Estate Startup)**
January 2023 – January 2026 | Olympia, WA
- Designed and built a multi-role real estate platform (buyers, agents, admins) with MLS search, bidding, and gated membership
- Defined information architecture, onboarding, and navigation before build; translated research and stakeholder input into flows and prototypes that supported Agile delivery
- Implemented frontend experiences and third-party integrations; iterated search and membership UX from user feedback and usage patterns
- Owned design-through-delivery for a complex operational product — the craft foundation behind later AI product work

**UX & Web Designer — Freelance**
June 2020 – July 2022, May 2023 – Present | Renton, WA
- Lead branding, UX, and frontend delivery for client sites and products — from discovery and Figma concepts through responsive implementation
- Build React / Next.js and Webflow experiences with attention to usability, accessibility, and maintainable component systems
- Partner with non-technical clients to scope, iterate, and ship polished digital products under real constraints

**UX & Web Designer — Aletheia Digital Media**
August 2022 – April 2023 | Olympia, WA
- Produced interactive wireframes and prototypes for websites and apps with responsive, component-based delivery
- Planned and ran user testing; used findings to improve clarity and reduce friction
- Built and maintained design systems for consistency across client brands and campaigns

**UX Designer — Digital Agency Partners**
August 2021 – July 2022 | Seattle, WA
- Designed user flows, wireframes, and prototypes focused on usability and accessibility
- Maintained style guides and partnered with developers through iterative handoff and refinement
- Created interfaces aligned with WCAG standards for diverse user populations

## EDUCATION
**B.S. Cognitive Science: A.I. and Human-Computer Interaction**
August 2018 – June 2020 | University of California Santa Cruz
- Focused on human behavior, AI-driven interfaces, and user-centered design methods
- Built interactive prototypes and ran usability studies for academic and applied projects
- Studied the intersection of psychology, computer science, and design thinking

## TECHNICAL SKILLS
- **Front-End**: React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS
- **Back-End**: Supabase, PostgreSQL, API integration, Authentication, Stripe
- **AI / Product**: OpenAI, Deepgram, Vector search / RAG, Human-in-the-loop workflow design, Cursor
- **Design**: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Webflow, Design systems, Component libraries
- **Methodology**: Agile, User-centered design, Iterative shipping, Accessibility

## PHILOSOPHY
- Start from how people think — then choose the model, stack, and interface
- Design AI so users can see, review, and control outputs; never as a black box
- Treat frontend craft as product leverage for MVPs and production SaaS
- Ship with AI tools in the loop while keeping judgment and architecture human
